- Have read some posts that say after Van der Sloot serves his prison term it will be too late to charge him with the extortion in the US. NOT SO! He has been indicted by a Federal grand jury in the United States for wire fraud and extortion related to the whereabouts of Natalee Holloway

- I don't understand so many people saying how horrible he will be treated in prison. Haven't any of you been reading for the last year or so about how he is really liked and treated by the inmates like a celebrity???? They play poker together and watch TV together.

- As a senior citizen I have medicare. A small amount of payroll taxes include a portion for medicare from working people. The main problem with medicare is the fraud involved. Apparently we cannot afford to have people monitoring this situation.

- O. J. Simpson lived in high white society with wife Nicole, turning his back on South Central L.A. and his race.  I would have thought they would have turned their backs on him during the murder trial.
